It is becoming increasingly important to establish a whole school approach to employability.
In this programme all staff take part in an initial 2 hour workshop to establish the culture and celebrate current success. This also provides them with a toolkit of approaches and activities for use in the classroom. They experience co-operative methods that have proved challenging and motivating to the full range of students.
A follow up session focusses on working with individual departments or faculty teams to develop new/extension programmes that will embed the enterprise and employability skills process in the existing KS3/4 curriculum. A timeline for implementation and evaluation is then agreed.
A final session then identifies the links between different extension programmes in order to produce a whole school plan.
